Anna Abreu biography

Anna Abreu is the most popular pop star in Finland. Her last four albums have sold almost 200.000 units so far. She is an extremely talented young woman, who puts super effort into her live shows. In 2010 she did a spectacular two week show on a cruise ship, in which she used same technique as Madonna. This year she warmed up Enrique Iglesias for two arena shows.

Anna has been awarded the Finnish Grammy for The Best Female Vocalist twice. She is the most searched star year after year on Google. She also fascinates and interests people with other qualities besides her music, for example she’s a trend setting fashion icon for young females.

Anna released her latest album, Rush, in March and it went straight to #1 on the official album chart, reaching gold status at the same time. Her first single, Hysteria, also went straight to #1 on iTunes. There is no doubt of her success in Finland, she’s working to extend that success over the borders.

In 2009 her single, Vinegar, was released in the UK and it climbed up to #21 on the Commercial Pop Club Chart, which was the highest position for a Finnish female artist ever. She left artists like Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus, Whitney Houston and David Guetta behind. The music video for Vinegar was in rotation on every music channel in UK.
